 Provista have been announced as winners in " Lanarkshire's Business Excellence Awards 2011". The award was presented to Provista Director, Barry Oliver, at a gala dinner awards ceremony on 11th March. The award is for businesses that can demonstrate dynamism, commitment to growth and success in achieving planned objectives. Provista had to demonstrate to a judging panel of esteemed business professionals that we have a clearly defined vision for developing and growing business in terms of both turnover and employment. While demonstrating entrepreneurial characteristics, Provista had to show that we have systems in place to measure performance effectively, particularly in terms of financial controls. Staff development and involvement of the workforce in the growth of the business was a key characteristic, as was a strong focus on the needs of the customer through effective marketing strategies. Provista had to be able to prove a track record in customer satisfaction and continued commitment to exceeding customer expectations, recognising and encouraging the contribution from staff when dealing with customers. Provista Director Barry Oliver commented on the award " We are delighted that the judging panel have chosen Provista as the winner of this category. CNR is one of the largest independent crude oil and natural gas producers in the world. Provista was successfully awarded the contract to consult, implement a complete set of upgrades from version 4.x of Cisco Unified Call Manager to version 7.x. During this initial project, Provista identified potential cost saving measures which have subsequently led to Provista being awarded an additional contract to design and deploy Unified Presence and Collaboration technologies for use both on and off shore. This demonstrates how Provista works to add value to their clients and enhance their business goals.

After a successful project earlier this year to upgrade the LAN infrastructure at the Stagecoach HQ in Perth, Provista is in the final stages of completing a security project in the next stage of Stagecoaches network development. The existing network Firewalls were aging and have been replaced with the latest generation of firewalls with enhanced performance and features such as Intrusion Prevention and VPN. This will ensure that key business systems are reliable and protected to support the business in the coming years while offering enhanced access to users.

Provista successfully migrated Wood Mackenzie to a new HQ in Edinburgh and the deployment of systems to a new offsite data centre. After a detailed tender and consultation period Provista were selected to design, commission and support the infrastructure that included LAN, WAN, WLAN and Voice within the solution based on Cisco technology. Wood Mackenzie also benefit from Provista’s Remote Monitoring and Engineering services which is provisioned from our NOC in Hamilton.
Wood Mackenzie is now planning to upgrade remote offices and Provista are currently deploying a similar solution to their new Guildford Office. The solution will allow the Wood Mackenzie business to reduce operating costs while allowing staff to work more effectively using mobility and remote working enhancements.
