Provista have successfully completed a project for BioReliance where traditional PBX technology was replaced with the latest Cisco voice solution based on Cisco IP Communications Manager. BioReliance’s voice system was an unreliable and aging PBX estate spread across their three main sites in Glasgow, Stirling and Edinburgh, unfortunately the performance and unreliability was impacting business. The new IP Telephony solution delivers the latest technology with many business benefits including reduced cost of ownership and enhanced collaboration features. The migration to this system was eased by the fact that their IP Network infrastructure had been previously upgraded by Provista a year earlier during a project were future network enhancements had been factored into the design.
The customer is now planning to enhance the solution further with additional functionality including Presence and Web Conferencing technology after the successful project was delivered by Provista.
Kevin Hambrecht - BioReliance’s IT Infrastructure Manager said of Provista’s project delivery.
“Just like the LAN upgrades we did last year the IPT project was managed and executed with a level of detail that shined through in every aspect of this project. Having an appreciation for the complexity of both projects our success is measured by the lack of disruption to the business (which other than planned outages was null). We have received some very positive feedback on the system, and thank you for all your efforts. I cannot stress enough how nice it is to have an organization like Provista supporting BioReliance network infrastructure in the UK.”
