PLANNING AND SCOPE

Planning
Provista put great emphasis on the planning and scoping phase of each project. Without good planning and scoping it is well proven that unquantifiable issues will arise during the implementation that will be detrimental to the success of the project. With careful planning, the Provista Project Team, through the leadership of the Project Manager will manage each phase of the programme professionally and efficiently to ensure that we deliver this project to scope, quality, cost and schedule.

By establishing a close and corroborative working partnership with our customers, Provista believe that the Planning Strategy and Life Cycle Management will ensure that we are able to deliver the correct solution, which is capable of meeting the customers business needs. The Provista project team would work closely with the customer appointed project team and by utilising clearly defined roles and responsibilities; focus would be given to Risk Assessment & Risk Management, Change Management, Testing, effective use of resources and overall Quality Assurance.

Provista will commence the project, and their Project Team will formally meet the customer Project Team to discuss and agree the content of the Project Initiation Document [PID], which will contain the “baseline” information for the project together with comprehensive details of:
  • Review customer order and any contractual terms & conditions
  • The Roles and Responsibilities of both parties
  • Customer requirements
  • Timescales and the Project Plan
  • Test Plans and Customer Acceptance Testing
  • Phasing of the implementation
  • Migration strategy
  • Network Management, if applicable
  • Change Control Process – Request For Change (RFC)
  • Deliverables
  • Risks Register
  • Quality Plan and Health & Safety
  • Project Closure procedures

During the planning and scoping phase of the Project, a full set of comprehensive and high quality Project Documentation will be developed and produced, reflecting the proposed requirement and solution and typically comprises of the following information:

  • Project Initiation Document
  • Project Plan
  • Scope of Works and Configuration Document
  • Staging and Customer Acceptance Test Documents
  • Detailed Network Schematic Diagrams, which will be dependent on base information supplied by the customer
